Westover Day Returns for the 3rd year: A Celebration of Local Music, Food, and Community!
This family-friendly street festival is hosted by four civic ssociations (Highland Park - Overlee Knolls, Tara-Leeway-Heights, Leeway-Overlee & Westover Village) and the Cardinal Elementary PTA. The Marjorie Hughes Fund for Children: The Marjorie Hughes Fund supports Arlington Public Schools students who are low-income and uninsured in getting to the doctor and dentist. They have slime for sale as well as a raffle for gift baskets!
Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation: a nonprofit dedicated to saving homeless dogs and cats through rescue, medical care, foster placement, and adoption programs. They focus on behavior rehabilitation, community education, and partnerships with local shelters to increase lifesaving capacity, relying on volunteers and donations to reunite pets with families or find them forever homes.

Stray Cat Bar & Grill: a lively neighborhood restaurant and bar serving classic American comfort food - burgers, steaks, and seafood - alongside a full drink menu. Field to Table Farmers Markets: Field to Table Farmers Markets have 4 markets in Arlington: Westover & Fairlington on Sunday and Lubber Run & Cherrydale on Saturday. We prioritize providing the community ready access to local food and all of our vendors come from within a 125 mile radius! In addition to hosting weekly food vendors, we have seasonal special events (check out our website for our fall events!) and collaborate with local organizations to promote community engagement. We have spaces available for local food vendors during our Westover Winter Market and PT positions we hire staff for. USIDE on Moore: a 30,000 sq ft food hall in Rosslyn, VA, offering a culinary, social, and community hub. It features nine private event spaces, including a Pinball/Arcade Basement, for 10 to 550 guests, ideal for corporate events and social gatherings. UPSIDE hosts seven diverse dining concepts, a central full bar, coworking spaces with fast Wi-Fi, and an outdoor terrace for an all-day experience.
Cardinal PTA: Cardinal Elementary School PTA (Arlington, VA) is a volunteer-driven organization that supports students, teachers, and families through community-building events, classroom enrichment, and fundraising for educational resources. The PTA partners with school staff to enhance learning experiences, promote family involvement, and advocate for student needs—fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment where every Cardinal can thrive.
Greater Westover Civic Associations: volunteer-led neighborhood organizations who advocate for community interests, coordinate local events, and work with the county on planning, safety, and neighborhood improvements. They foster resident engagement, promote a strong sense of community, and serve as liaisons between the residents and local government. They are made up of the following four Civic Associations: Tara-Leeway Heights (TLH), Leeway Overlee (LO), Highland Park-Overlee Knolls (HPOK), and Westover Village (WV). Arlington Artist: Please check out our young artist who is selling her hand painted watercolors. Inspired by her travels, she has paintings of landscapes, mountains, and flowers, among other things. Maybe you could pick up a pack of note cards to take home.
A Free Little Art Gallery: “FLAG” for short — is like a Little Free Library, but for small artworks instead of books. If you see something in the gallery you like, take it home. Or create something you want to share, and leave it for someone else to take away and love.

Yorktown High School Dance Team: is a spirited student group that showcases athleticism, creativity, and school pride through performances at games, competitions, and community events. The team develops dancers’ technique, teamwork, and leadership while promoting school spirit and providing opportunities for artistic expression and personal growth.
Educational Theatre Company: Educational Theatre Company (ETC) is an arts education organization that has offered process-driven theatre arts programming including camps, classes, filmmaking, and in-school programing for students ages 3 -103.

Friends of the Arlington Library FOAL: Friends of the Arlington Library is having a Pop-Up book sale featuring children’s books, cookbooks and adult fiction. All Children’s Book are only $1, Paperbacks are $2 and Hardbacks are $4. 100% of the money raised or donated goes directly back to the Arlington library to support library programming.
