Dominion's Strategic Underground program is coming to Tara-Leeway

On May 14, 2025 Dominion Power gave a presentation at our TLH civic association meeting to educate neighbors on their initiative to underground power lines across Virginia and also in TLH. The program is described on their website as follows:

"This Virginia initiative aims to shorten power restoration times following major storms. We do this by finding the most outage-prone overhead power lines and moving them underground for protection."

To check the status of Dominion's projects throughout Virginia and in Arlington, click the link below. ​Dominion has currently identified the streets of Harrison, Huntington, and Inglewood between 16th and 19th Streets in TLH as a future project site.
